I’m leaving tomorrow morning for the beautiful town of Nantes, France, to attend ‘Pour l’Amour du Fil’ (For the Love of Thread), a knitting and stitching show organised by Quiltmania magazine, where I’m going to work as an interpreter for British and American teachers. I feel very privileged to be granted this opportunity to meet Janet Bolton (love her peaceful textile pictures), Sue Spargo (wonderful, colourful, textured work AND I translated into French the project book that’s going to be released at the show!!!) and Sue Hawkins (she’s going to teach one of the most darling projects I’ve ever seen : a cute little thimble holder to hang from your scissors she calls a ‘Thimbleybob’).
I hope I will be able to see the exhibitions and take photos. I’d love to award ribbons to MY favourites...

Je pars demain matin pour la belle ville de Nantes pour assister au salon ‘Pour L’Amour du Fil’ organisé par le magazine Quiltmania. J’y vais pour traduire les cours de deux Anglaises et d’une Américaine. J’ai beaucoup de chance et je me réjouis de rencontrer Janet Bolton (j’adore l’impression de paix qui se dégage de ses tableaux textiles), Sue Spargo (magnifiques ouvrages colorés et texturés ET c’est moi qui ai traduit le livre de modèles qu’elle a écrit et qui sort pour le salon !!!) et Sue Hawkins (son cours porte sur le gadget le plus mignon que j’aie jamais vu : un petit étui pour dé à coudre qu’on attache à sa paire de ciseaux).
J’espère que j’aurai le temps de voir les expos et de prendre mes photos. J’aimerais bien décerner mes propres récompenses…
A bientôt à Nantes…ou ici au début de la semaine prochaine !
